There are a few places on earth where the conditions to observe the universe are exceptional. In the north hemisphere, we find this privilege in Maunakea on the island of Hawaii and in El Roque de los Muchachos on the island of La Palma, two privileged places that meet the best astrophysical conditions in the world.
